Imagine that Customers Had Their Own Relationship Management Tools
Relationship management tools including:
their own customer numbers and identifiers….
their own terms and privacy policies
their own profiles and data
their own storage for digital receipts, and digital records of their products and services
their own analytics and reporting
their own ability to prove things
their own AI powered agents to help get things done
Would that not be a lot easier than the current model in which organisations carry the full burden and responsibility for managing digital customer relationships?
And that the same approach worked for other types of relationships….
Subscribers (aka users of free services)
Citizens
Employees
Volunteers
Patients
…. even digital relationships with other individuals, e.g. A Smart Address Book
In fact any relationship that has a digital component benefits from both parties having their own relationship management capabilities. As peers. That’s a big improvement on the current approach in which one party has the tooling and the power, and the other can only do as they are allowed.
That’s where we are headed with DataPal.
And now we can introduce a start point. MyKey.
MyKey is a lightweight, high impact personal agent utility. It is built on open source code and open technology standards. It enables those early and critical pieces of the above jigsaw. It provides people with the ability to:
Create strong digital identifiers (cryptographic keys) that, as they are created locally, are demonstrably owned and controlled by an individual. These are digital representations of the individual, controlled by the individual. Unlike customer numbers, loyalty programme membership numbers, cookie ID’s, device fingerprints, advertising identifiers and similar.
Propose, negotiate, sign and record IEEE 7012 standard (MyTerms) information sharing agreements.
Sign up for digital services, and sign in to them via standard industry protocols (OIDC); like social sign-in….., but without the surveillance.
Prove things cryptographically, as only the individual can do - as the root for the many data attributes out there.
MyKey will launch in Spring 2026.
